A Recipe Steeped in History 📜
Our journey begins with a recipe that's more than just ink on paper—it's a connection to our past. Rick's Grandma Carrie's original 1950's handwritten recipe for "Soft Peanut Butter Brittle" still graces our kitchen, a cherished relic that inspires our creations. The slightly tattered, time-worn pages are now framed, preserving the recipe we hold dear and still use to this very day.
From Garage to Artisan Candy Business 🏭
In 1990, our "small batch" candy business was born, right in our garage, converted into a licensed kitchen, in Everett, WA. We started with brittle, cooked on a 1950's-era kitchen stove, a gift from Bonnie's Grandma Hilda. The treats were cooled on a large marble slab that once graced the halls of the old Wenatchee Courthouse. We began by selling brittle in local specialty shops and holiday shows throughout Western Washington.

Our journey didn't stop with brittle. We added brittle dipped in milk chocolate and introduced the Serenity Bar—a marriage of soft peanut butter brittle and a layer of caramel dipped in chocolate. Each product is handmade in small batches, the old-fashioned way, with the utmost care and dedication.
